There is a lot to discover around Cagayan de Oro City in Mindanao. If you take some time to explore the farther Barangays, you can really find some beautiful spots! This place is called Tignapoloan and it is home to a beautiful subterranean waterfall along the river called "Sinulom Falls". We started at my "tambay" Kagay Whitewater Rafting, and headed out on our scooters. A little stop-over to hang out with some locals and learn about Cassava and then we found ourselves trekking down to my favourite waterfall in the city! Cagayan de Oro Mindanao... Zamboanga Del Sur is a province in Southern Mindanao. I drove my scooter to Pagadian City and then found myself on an adventure with the Mindanao Mountaineering Federation. This is "Part 1" of my journey to the small village of Tigbao, and trekking up to the beautiful Lake Maragang in Zamboanga Del Sur. In this video you will see my experience of "Toploading" on a Jeepney, finding wild Santol fruit and experiencing the beautiful pristine nature of Mindanao. A lot of people forget that Mindanao is home to lots of natural beauty just waiting to be explored. As I say in the video: "No if you are a foreigner you shouldn't just wander off in the middle of nowhere." But if you do a little research, talk with locals (or join mountaineering groups)... there is a lot of safe beautiful places ...

It was a night, yeah, the kind of night
Left me pacing 'cross the floor.
It was a dream, like those other dreams,
So many times before.
I went back to the old town,
To the streets I used to roam,
And I looked into my daddy's eyes
And asked that fatal question, ";Why'd
You have to go?";
You had to go.
There was a time when life was good
And everything felt so right.
I don't know why, I never understood
Why you left us on that night. I went back, to that day when you left us on our own -
Now I look into my baby's eyes
And I just know there is no way
I'd ever go.
I'll never go.
Take me to the mountainside,
Far away from here,
Where my eyes are open wide -
No one gets too near.
